Ceremony Music {More Coldplay}

I'm a fan.... it's so gorgeous. If you've been following me for a while you know that I love Taylor Swift and Coldplay. This arrangement is so perfect... le sigh.

We Booked Our Venue {FINALLY}

It only took us 512 days (1 year 4 months and 26 days) to start our wedding planning process. We officially booked our venue yesterday. We will be getting married at the Manakiki ballroom in Willoughby, OH. The good news is it's not really near where either of us grew up (so it's neutral) and it has a ton of character.

We'll be getting married exactly one year from Friday which is the anniversary of my good friend Tara.

See below for photos of the location:

1. Manakiki house/Mansion

2. Ceremony location

3.Cocktail Hour and outdoor area

4. Reception location (dinner/dancefloor)

5. Bar

6. Seating/Lounge area (couches will be here instead of tables)

Must Watch TV {Glee}

There aren't too many shows that I love. Part of that is that Zack has a lot that he loves and we only have one TV. But I don't mind because I usually spend time {hours} looking through other wedding blogs. Earlier this week I downloaded the Glee Pilot on our Apple TV per the recommendation of a friend. It's hysterical! I honestly LOVED it and it takes place in Canton, OH. Which is close to my hometown. While some reviews have deemed it a HSM look alike, I totally disagree. Their version of Journey's Don't Stop Believing is AMAZING and the show is cast very well. I'm mainly writing this so I can spread the word about the show as I'd hate to see it canceled.

Download Glee's Pilot for free on itunes.

Congrats Kara!

Zack and I's couple crush got engaged on Thursday. I'm so thrilled for Kara and Joe! Now she finally has a legit reason for reading my blog. Perhaps she will also be joining me in planning a 2010 Wedding?

I love engagements and I truly could not be happier for them.

Baby Steps {We're on Our Way}

Well...

We are home from Cleveland. We saw a venue {we loved it}. We met Jaci Clark {I adore her}. We saw  our friends and family {I missed them}.  I stood up Heidi {We'll connect soon}.

I think this image pretty much sums up where we are. 18 months down - 12 to go. We need to decide which space we want to use at the venue {pictures to follow soon} and confirm our date. We also need to discuss our budget {such an ugly word} and iron out priorities.

I'm exhausted. This weekend was a whirlwind - but it was a productive one. Good night kiddos!

Ceremony Music {Yellow}

I'm utterly obsessed with Jem's cover of Yellow. The Coldplay version is fab but this is slowed down and so romantic. I can picture it as a song the bridesmaids walk down the aisle too or perhaps a first dance. Just listen and love.

You Know I Love You So

I have really amazing friends and I've been so lucky that I've gotten to see SO many of them in the past two months.

The down side - my blog is suffering a bit. But I've been a busy girl. I promise... I have a fabulous idea for Save The Dates, I'm visiting a venue next week, possibly meeting with a photographer (assuming another Sara didn't steal her away), and I think we are buying a GOCCO!!! Wooohooo.

Yesterday I stumbled across something better than cupcakes on a rainy day - and that would be Claire's birthday present! But she has to wait until she visits me as California (or possibly New York) has silly rules about shipping things!

I'm going to leave you with ten things I love
  1. Waking up each morning with Zack and our furbaby Izzie by my side.
  2. Purple nailpolish. It's a serious obsession.
  3. All things apple
  4. Europe - I'd really like to take a "mini-moon" in October. Possibly France or Spain?
  5. Reading wedding blogs {link to yours and I'll start reading}
  6. My new apartment, which I'll be sharing with you very soon.
  7. Wine and other uber girly cocktails
  8. Cuddling up at night with a good book and a glass of wine (see #7)
  9. The smell of chocolate chip cookies coming out of the oven.
  10. Picking out pretty flowers for our apartment.
